It started with a microphone and a simple question
Where Are You Going began as a series of unscripted street interviews — no agenda, just a question and a willingness to listen. What we heard again and again was that people already knew what they needed. They just didn't have a way to get there.
So the foundation grew out of the interviews themselves: every conversation feeds into how we direct support, who we connect people with, and what "help" actually looks like in practice.

Donate
$25 could cover transit for someone getting to job interviews. $50 could help toward a housing deposit. $100 supports a full emergency assistance grant. Amounts are estimates based on our typical program costs.
We're not yet a registered nonprofit, so donations aren't tax-deductible at this time.
Volunteer
Join a street interview shift, help follow up with people we've spoken to, or lend a skill (design, driving, admin — whatever you've got).

Where Are You Going is a community foundation based in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 2025. We're currently operating independently while we work toward formal nonprofit registration — we'll update this page with our official status as soon as that's complete. Our street interviews and support programs currently focus on the Columbus area.
